The several study about conception of different geological concepts has been much research in science education. All this research agrees that pupils come to class with the initial conception that could be an obstacle to the acquisition of these concepts.
The initially aims of this work identify the Moroccan pupil's conceptions in second year of college about the volcano concept. The methodology based on a questionnaire to a sample of pupils before any official courses on the volcano concept.
