The aim of this paper is to examine the effect of the diffusion of ICTs on the economy growth of Cameroon. Conceptual work shows that ICT implementation has a direct and indirect impact on business performance and human capital. As from the previous work design research have been specify and study base on the period going from 1981 to 2017. The application of the techniques of the analysis least squares on these data with Eviews 7.1 permit us to conclude that the main determinants of the economy growth are ICT and human capital (literacy) in Cameroon. Improvement of transparency and good governance remain the necessary requirements to stimulate investments in order to renew growth and development.

Abstract

L’objet de la présente étude est d’examiner l’effet de la diffusion des TIC sur la croissance économique au Cameroun. Les travaux théoriques montrent que les TIC ont un effet direct et indirect sur la performance des entreprises et le capital humain. A partir des travaux antérieurs, le modèle de recherche a été spécifié et l’étude porte sur la période allant de 1981 à 2017. La méthode des Moindres Carrés Ordinaires (MCO) a été utilisée comme technique d’analyse de ces données, ceci à l’aide du logiciel Eviews (7.1). Les principaux résultats aboutissent à une contribution significative des connaissances technologiques et du capital humain (alphabétisation) sur la croissance économique du Cameroun. L’amélioration de la transparence et de la bonne gouvernance demeurent des conditions nécessaires pour stimuler les investissements en vue de relancer la croissance et le développement.
