Hospital performance is a multidimensional concept, difficult to define. Several models for measuring and evaluating the performance are present in the literature. The Moroccan Ministry of Health is seeking to establish a standard tool to assess the performance of hospitals, including university hospitals that provide tertiary level care. The Ibn rochd University Hospital of Casablanca adopts a performance evaluation process that complies with the regulations in force and respects the organization stipulated in its internal regulations. The objective of this paper is to describe this process and its content of performance measurement indicators constituting the activity report, and to analyze them according to a managerial vision made by a research team in management sciences. Within the framework of this work, we based ourselves on non-participating observation and also on benchmarking with the various actors involved in the process. The analysis of the process and indicators allowed us to identify a number of dysfunctions and to propose areas for improvement.

La performance hospitalière est un concept multidimensionnel, difficile à définir. Plusieurs modèles de mesure et d’évaluation de la performance sont présents dans la littérature. Le ministère de la santé marocain cherche à mettre en place un outil standard permettant d’évaluer la performance des hôpitaux, y compris les centres hospitaliers universitaires, qui prodiguent une offre de soin de niveau tertiaire. Le CHU Ibn rochd de Casablanca adopte un processus d’évaluation de la performance qui se conforme à la réglementation en vigueur et qui respecte l’organisation stipulée dans son règlement intérieur. L’objectif de cet écrit est de décrire ce processus et son contenu d’indicateurs de mesure de la performance constituants le bilan d’activité, et de les analyser selon un angle de vision managerielle faite par une équipe de recherche en sciences de gestion. Nous nous somme basés dans le cadre de ce travail sur l’observation non participante et aussi un benchmarking auprès des différents acteurs intervenants dans le processus. L’analyse du processus et des indicateurs nous a permis de déceler un certain nombre de dysfonctionnements présents et de proposer des pistes d’améliorations.
