During embryological development, the mammary glands appear on the mammary crests that extend from the armpit to the inguinal fold. The persistence of gland on these ridges outside the usual localization of the breasts describes the supernumerary breast. Through the case of a patient who presents a breast supernumerary we put light on the data of the literature on this entity but remains under diagnosed.

Abstract

Au cours du développement embryologique les glandes mammaires apparaissent sur les crêtes mammaires qui se prolongent de l’aisselle au pli inguinal. La persistance de glande sur ces crêtes en dehors de la localisation habituelle des seins décrit le sein surnémeraire. A travers le cas d’une patiente qui présente un sein surnémeraire nous metons la lumière sur les données de la littérature sur cette entité mais qui reste sous diagnostiquée.
