In carrying out this study, our main objective was to demonstrate, through the opinions of stakeholders involved in forest management in the DR Congo, that the latter is a solution to the problem of global warming. To achieve this, we collected data from 98 agents of public and private organizations working on environmental issues in the DRC, in Kinshasa, Kisangani and Yangambi. A questionnaire was administered to these agents. We then consulted various documents relating to Congolese forest management. In analyzing the data, we found that the DRC is a real solution to the problem of global warming, thanks to its forests with a high capacity for CO2 sequestration, the strategic minerals used in the manufacture of batteries and electric cars, and the production of renewable energies. The payment of carbon credits equivalent to the CO2 stored or captured by forests and peatlands, the effective commercialization of carbon sinks, the rewarding of damage caused by the effects of climate change, and the financing of climate change mitigation and adaptation projects and programs are the positive stakes in the DRC’s fight against global warming. These results stipulate, as implications, the sensitization of all the actors, the implementation of alternative actions for the benefit of the communities bordering the forests finally to safeguard the assets in forest conservation.

En réalisant cette étude, notre objectif majeur était de démontrer, à travers les avis des acteurs impliqués dans la gestion de la forêt de la RD Congo, que cette dernière est une solution au problème de réchauffement climatique. Pour y parvenir, nous avons collecté les données auprès de 98 agents des organisations publiques et privées qui travaillent sur des thématiques environnementales en RDC à Kinshasa, à Kisangani et à Yangambi. A ces agents, un questionnaire a été administré. Ensuite, nous avons consulté les différents documents relatifs à la gestion de la forêt congolaise. Lors des analyses des données, nous avons constaté que la RDC est vraiment un pays solution au problème du réchauffement climatique à cause de ces forêts avec une grande capacité de séquestration de CO2, les minérais stratégiques utilisés dans la fabrication de batteries et les voitures électriques, et enfin la production des énergies renouvelables. Le paiement des crédits carbone en équivalence de CO2 stockés ou captés par les forêts et tourbières, la commercialisation effective des puits carbone, la récompense des dommages causés par les effets du changement climatique, et le financement des projets et programmes d’atténuation et d’adaptation au changement climatique constituent les enjeux positifs de la lutte contre le réchauffement climatique de la RDC. Ces résultats stipulent, comme implication, la sensibilisation de tous les acteurs, la mise en place des actions alternatives au profit des communautés riveraines des forêts enfin de sauvegarder les acquis en matière de la conservation forestière.
