The drastic changes brought by the globalization of the economy and the dissolution of borders has considerably favored the emergence of remote management. In a fluctuating environment, the effectiveness of this new form of organization remains tightly linked to the ability of leaders to adapt their skills and consider the prerequisite of their virtual environment.Thus, it is mandatory for modern managers to wear new behavioral glasses that they can federate, remotely, the ardor of their colleagues and at the same time to break with old hierarchical practices and bureaucratic recipes. More than ever, e-managers must develop a highly team awareness, continually identify tools and techniques and be responsive to whatever kind of limits to foster confidence and build a winning virtual team.

Abstract

Le changement induit par la globalisation de l’économie et la dissolution des frontières a considérablement favorisé l’émergence du management à distance. Dans un environnement fluctuant, l’efficacité de cette nouvelle forme d’organisation reste tributaire de la capacité des meneurs à s’adapter aux exigences et aux contraintes de leur environnement virtuel.Ainsi, les managers modernes sont contraints de porter de nouvelles paires de lunettes comportementales pour pouvoir fédérer, à distance, l’ardeur des collaborateurs et par la même occasion rompre avec les vielles pratiques hiérarchiques et recettes bureaucratiques. Plus que jamais, les managers à distance doivent développer une conscience de groupe, cerner les outils et les techniques et prendre connaissance des limites en œuvre pour fertiliser la confiance et fonder une équipe virtuelle gagnante.
