This work presents the results of palynological analysis of the Albo-Cenomanian interval of two wells located on the Abidjan margin in the offshore sedimentary basin of Côte d'Ivoire. It aims to reconstruct deposition environments during this interval coinciding with the oceanic anoxic event (EAO1) recorded in the Atlantic. After classical chemical attacks with strong acids, the palynomorphs extracted from 114 cuttings samples were identified and counted. The results show that out of 9786 registered palynomorphs 5108 belong to the Y-3M well and 4678 to the Y-4M well. Quantitative analysis of spore groups, pollen grains (Classopollis, Ephedripites, Araucariacites), elateres and dinocysts revealed a predominantly continental (littoro-deltaic) depositional environment with marine incursions. This sedimentation occurred under a predominantly arid to semi-arid palaeoclimate under relatively humid conditions in some places. These palynological quantitative approaches will help to refine the deposit environment of the Albian in Ivory Coast.

Ce travail présente les résultats d’analyse palynologique de l’intervalle albo-cénomanienne de deux puits implantés sur la marge d’Abidjan dans le bassin sédimentaire offshore de Côte d’Ivoire. Il a pour objectif de reconstituer les environnements de dépôts durant cet intervalle qui coïncide avec l’événement anoxique océanique (EAO1) enregistré dans l’Atlantique. Après des attaques chimiques classiques aux acides forts, les palynomorphes extraits de 114 échantillons de déblais ont été identifiés et comptés. Les résultats montrent que sur 9786 palynomorphes enregistrés 5108 appartiennent au puits Y-3M et 4678 au puits Y-4M. L’analyse quantitative des groupes de spores, de grains de pollen (Classopollis, Ephedripites, Araucariacites), d’élatères et de dinokystes a révélé un environnement de dépôt à dominance continentale (littoro-deltaïque) ayant subi des incursions marines. Cette sédimentation s’est effectuée sous un paléoclimat à prédominance aride à semi-aride sous des conditions relativement humides par endroits. Cette approche quantitative palynologique a contribué significativement à affiner particulièrement notre connaissance sur les milieux de dépôt de l’Albien en Côte d’Ivoire.
