This study aims to look into the importance and efficiency of the interactive whiteboard (IWB) tool in the teaching and learning of primary school pupils in Morocco - the fourth grade level - in terms of performance, Teaching, learning and the degree of retention of knowledge. The research involved a sample of 46 fourth grade level learners in one of the primary schools in Kenitra city during the 2014-2015 school year. The experimental methodology with two groups was used in this research. For the first group, we opted for the traditional method of teaching (the use of the common blackboard), while for the second group we used the interactive whiteboard. The study also used two achievement tests: the first, immediately after the lesson and the second two weeks later. The results of the study showed the positive effect of using the interactive whiteboard in raising learners' achievement and retention of knowledge. The study recommended adopting the use of the interactive whiteboard in primary education because of its benefits in building learning and raising the learners’ motivation to learn.

تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى استقصاء أهمية أداة السبورة التفاعلية في تعليم وتعلم تلاميذ وتلميذات المرحلة الابتدائية بالمغرب -المستوى الرابع نموذجا- من حيث مردودية التحصيل لديهم ودرجة الاحتفاظ بالتعلمات. شمل البحث عينة مكونة من 46 تلميذا وتلميذة بإحدى المؤسسات الابتدائية بمدينة القنيطرة يدرسون بالمستوى الرابع ابتدائي، خلال السنة الدراسية 2014-2015. وقد استعمل في هذا البحث المنهج التجريبي في مجموعتين، الأولى تعلمت بالطريقة التقليدية (السبورة العادية)، فيما تعلمت الثانية عن طريق السبورة التفاعلية، كما استخدمت الدراسة اختبارين تحصيليين: الأول مباشرة بعد الدرس والثاني بعد أسبوعين. أظهرت نتائج الدراسة أثرا إيجابيا لاستخدام السبورة التفاعلية في رفع التحصيل والاحتفاظ بالتعلمات لدى التلاميذ. وأوصت الدراسة بتبني استخدام السبورة التفاعلية في مستويات التعليم الابتدائي لما لها من فوائد في بناء التعلمات وإثارة دافعية المتعلمين للتعلم.
