This study was intended to identify variables that may justify the rejection or acceptance of funding requests from SMEs and directed to MFIs in Bukavu town. Its scope was thus allow the streamlining of the process of SMEs in the preparation and composition of credit application files since it is possible that they are informed with the way they are perceived by donors of found given their characteristics. Based on a sample of 77 randomly selected SMEs and making use of logistic regression, it was found that the rationing of credit of SMEs by MFIs in Bukavu town is positively influenced by the working capital ratio, requested amount of credit, long-term relationship, the guarantees offered; and negatively by the economic returned ratio, the immediate liquidity ratio and sex at the 5% meaning threshold.

Cette étude se voulait déceler les variables susceptibles de justifier le rejet ou l’acceptation des demandes de financement formulées par les PME et adressées aux IMF de la ville de Bukavu. Sa portée était ainsi de permettre la rationalisation de la démarche des PME dans la préparation et la composition des dossiers de demande de crédit dès lors qu’il est possible qu’elles s’imprègnent de la manière dont elles sont perçues par les bailleurs de fonds compte tenu de leurs caractéristiques. Sur base d’un échantillon de 77 PME sélectionnées aléatoirement et faisant recours à la régression logistique, il s’est avéré que le rationnement des crédits des PME par les IMFdans la ville de Bukavu est influence positivement par le ratio de fonds de roulement, le montant sollicité de crédit, la relation de long terme, les garanties offertes ; et négativement par le ratio de rentabilité économique, le ratio de liquidité immédiate ainsi que le sexe au seuil de signification de 5%.
