The objective of this study was to determine the causes of the non-execution of the national program of the geometry in the secondary schools of Bukavu/DRC. A cross sectional study was conducted on 84 teachers of mathematics during the period going from January till March, 2015. The causes of the non-execution of the program of geometry were associated with the teachers, the pupils, the education, the official program and the school authorities. The organization of the training in geometry in-service for the teachers of the mathematics, the providing of educational materials and support in the schools, the revision of national program could make the execution of the program of geometry effective.

Abstract

L’objectif de cette étude était de déterminer les causes de la non-exécution du programme national de la géométrie dans les écoles secondaires de la ville Bukavu/RDC. Une étude transversale a été réalisée auprès de 84 enseignants de mathématiques pendant la période allant de janvier à mars 2015. Les causes de la non-exécution du programme de géométrie sont liées soit aux enseignants, aux élèves, à la matière elle-même, à l’enseignement, au programme officiel et aux autorités scolaires. L’organisation des formations continues en géométrie pour les enseignants des mathématiques, la dotation des matériels didactiques et support aux écoles, la révision de programme national pourraient rendre l’exécution du programme de géométrie effective.
