This project is aimed at determining the effect of poultry dung and organomineral fertilizer on the growth of maize (plant height) at different stations (Apomu, Iwo and Jago).
Response Surface Methodology, the first- order and the second- order models are used to determine the optimal plant height for given level of each of the variables or factors considered. Each location needs different requirement of fertilizer application, Apomu and Jago locations need the average of 83kg/ha of poultry-dung while Iwo location needs as much as 100kg/ha of organomineral to produce the optimum plant height.
