The objective of this study is to determine the experience of parents in supervising children with stuttering in Makiso commune. The study population consists of parents of stuttering children in the city of Kisangani. To carry out this study, we used a non-probability network-type sampling plan. The qualitative investigation method of the phenomenological type supported by the structured interview conducted this research. At the end of the surveys, it was found that parents try to do everything to make their children feel comfortable by informing friends, teachers and classmates about their children’s problems. The expected results prove how often stuttering remains a problem for children who reach the age of recognition of their situation, which leads them to loss of self-esteem, mockery, etc.

L’objectif de cette étude est de déterminer l’expérience des parents sur l’encadrement des enfants avec le bégaiement dans la commune Makiso. La population à l’étude est constituée des parents des enfants bègues de la ville de Kisangani. Pour réaliser cette étude, nous avons recouru au plan d’échantillonnage non probabiliste du type réseau. La méthode d’enquête qualitative du type phénoménologique appuyée par l’interview structurée ont conduit cette recherche. A l’issu des enquêtes, il a été constaté que les parents cherchent à tout faire pour que leurs enfants se sentent à l’aise en informant les amis, enseignants et camarades de classe à propos de problème de leurs enfants. Les résultats ainsi escomptés, prouvent combien de fois le bégaiement reste un problème pour les enfants qui atteignent l’âge de reconnaissance de leur situation, qui les amènent à la perte d’estime de soi, moquerie etc.
