A study on the availability, accessibility and consumption of fruits and vegetables was carried out in the Miti-Murhesa heath zone, with the aim of contributing to knowledge on safety and eating habits based on fruits and vegetables in households. To do this, a households inquiry was carried out. A sample of 384 households was formed and divided into axes while retaining all the Health areas in the zone. The results on availability, accessibility and consumption show that 38.8 % of households have the fruits, 51.8 % have access to fruits and 82.0 % consume the fruits with an average of 3 days per week. Regarding vegetables, 74.2 % of households have them, 81.0 % have access to them and 96.1 % consume them with an average of 4 days per week. A correlation was observed between the father’s profession, the level of education of the parents and consumption fruits and vegetables in the households. Averall, if we also take into account the frequency, the availability, accessibility and consumption of fruits and vegetables one records that they are low in Miti-Murhesa Heath zone.

Une étude a été menée sur la disponibilité, l’accessibilité et la consommation des fruits et légumes dans la zone de santé de Miti-Murhesa, avec comme objectif de Contribuer aux connaissances sur la sécurité et les habitudes alimentaires basées sur les fruits et légumes dans les ménages. Pour ce faire, une enquête a été réalisée auprès des ménages. Un échantillon de 384 ménages a été constitué et reparti en axes tout en retenant toutes les aires de santé de la zone. Les résultats sur la disponibilité, l’accessibilité et la consommation montrent que 38,8 % des ménages disposent les fruits, 51,8 % y accèdent et 82,0 % consomment les fruits avec une moyenne de 3 jours par semaine. S’agissant des légumes, 74,2 % des ménages en disposent, 81,0 % en accèdent et 96,1 % les consomment avec une moyenne de 4 jours par semaine. Il a été observé une corrélation entre la profession du père, le niveau d’instruction des parents et la consommation des fruits et légumes dans les ménages. D’une manière globale, si on tient compte aussi de la fréquence, la disponibilité, l’accessibilité et la consommation des fruits et légumes on constate qu’elles sont faibles dans les ménages de la zone de santé de Miti-Murhesa.
