The study we undertook is part of an evaluative research aimed at improving the quality of health sciences teaching at I. S.T.M.-Gemena in the South Ubangi Province in the South Ubangi Republic in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Indeed, for several years of existence of the I.S.T.M.- Gemena, teaching has been done according to the objective approach which is based more on the behaviors to be adopted by the learners but practical skills have always been the business of the areas of professional life (hospitals, health centers) through advanced training courses, contrary to the expectations of the population at the end of higher education. This situation has never been the subject of any study and we believe that the non-integration of the Competency-based Approach in the teaching of health sciences at the higher level can be classified among the causes of the drop in performance. academic that the community deplores today in this school of higher education.

Abstract

L’étude que nous avons entreprise s’inscrit dans le cadre d’une recherche évaluative pour fin d’amélioration de la qualité de l’enseignement des sciences de la santé à l’I. S.T.M.-Gemena dans la Province du Sud-Ubangi en République Sud Ubangi en République Démocratique du Congo. En effet, depuis plusieurs années d’existence de l’I.S.T.M.- Gemena, les enseignements se sont faits selon l’approche par objectifs qui est basée plus sur les comportements à adopter par les apprenants mais les compétences pratiques ont été toujours l’affaire des terrains de la vie professionnelle (hôpitaux, Centres de santé) à travers les stages de perfectionnement, contrairement aux attentes de la population au terme des études supérieures faites. Cette situation n’a jamais fait l’objet d’une étude quelconque et nous pensons que la non intégration de l’Approche par compétences dans l’enseignement des sciences de santé au niveau supérieur peut être classée parmi les causes de la baisse de rendement académique que la communauté déplore aujourd’hui dans cette école d’enseignement supérieur.
